Vindølbu is one of the cabins owned by the Kristiansund and Nordmøre Trekking Association. Located in the Vinddøldalen Valley, it is a perfect starting point for both summer and winter hikes in the Trollheimen mountain range. The cabin is beautifully located on the hill with a panoramic view over the valley.
Follow the road from the car park for about 2.5 km until you reach the mountain farm Langøysetra. Turn left and follow the marked path up to the cabin.
Drive along RV65 between Surnadal and Rindal municipalities. About 9 km east of Skei in Surnadal Municipality, you will see a sign for Vindøldalen. Follow the toll road for about 11 km until you reach the car park by Pebua. The toll fee is NOK 50.

The hiking trails in the Vinddøldalen Valley are recommended to be combined with cycling. The road that runs into the valley from Pebua is almost 8 km long, and with a bicycle, many of the mountains in the valley can be tackled in one day. For longer hike
