This trail is well suited for both a relaxed afternoon hike and a workout with some uphill climbing. You will walk along a good-quality gravel road the entire time and enjoy a view of Bøstranda, Fiskå, and Nordstranda. The destination of this trail is also a good starting point for several mountain trails.
Route description
Park your car down by the mountain road, or preferably by the garage before the boom gate (toll fee is NOK 30). Please make sure you do not block anyone when parking. Follow the mountain road the entire time. Just before you reach the end point, you will see a bench. The road splits about 100 metres from there.
Turn left to get to Lake Vikevatnet. Just before Vikevatnet, there are signs that mark the routes to Storehornet, Vedahornet, or Løvollsnipaif which you can also take. If you go straight ahead and walk through the gate after the bench where the road splits, you can continue further to Slagneshornet and Haggaren.
Access and parking
If you drive from Fiskå, the mountain road that leads up to Lake Vikevatnet will be on your left-hand just before you come to the exit road to Slagnes on a hill. Park your car down by the road or up by the garage.
