Trail to Apalviksætra

The trail follows a well-maintained farm road with wonderful pine and broad-leaf forest on both sides. You will have an opportunity to take a break along the way and stop by an old barn located near the road. Once you reach the Apalviksætra summer mountain farm, you will get to enjoy a great view towards the west and the idyllic farm landscape with small houses all around you. This summer mountain farm was in operation until the 1950s.

The trail starts from the car park at the beginning of the farm road. On your way back, you will follow the same route, and there are no junctions where you could go in the wrong direction. The largest section of the trail is flat and suitable for wheelchair users, but the final hilly patch closer to the summer mountain farm can be a bit challenging.

The trail ends at the Apalviksætra summer mountain farm.

Turn off in the direction of Solnørdalen by the tunnel in Skodjevågen. After about 1 km, you will drive past the building of Nordic Supply. Turn off to the left about 200–300 m past Nordic Supply. You will find a car park at the beginning of the farm road.
