The ski trail to Tørrtrerabben is relatively long and begins with a relatively steep section. Once you are up on the hillside of Lågfjellet, the remaining section of the trail covers flat terrain and offers an amazing view of several famous mountaintops in Romsdalen and Sunnmøre.
The ski trail begins next to the sheep barn in Vikåsen, about 200 metres away from the car park.It follows a tractor road up towards Skålsetra for the first 600 metres. From the gapahuk shelter, follow the ski trail further to Lågfjellet and continue moving in the direction of Daugstadsetra. The trail postbox is located at the destination point of this trail, Tørrtrerabben. From here, you can also continue skiing further to Daugstadsetra. Alternatively, you can ski to Vikesetra.
You can also start this ski trip from Idrettshuset, the sports centre in Myr. This will give you a more gentle terrain at the start, but the trail will be longer.
Please check loyper.net for the updated information on groomed ski trails.
Turn off E136 in Hjelvika and drive in the direction of Vikåsen along Vikåsvegen Road for about 1.5 km. Up on the hillside, there is a car park on your right. Go further up towards Vikåsen and down to the right past the yellow house. The starting point of the ski trail is down by the sheep barn, about 200 metres away from the car park. You are not allowed to park down by the barn.
An alternative starting point is the illuminated ski trail. Please read the description of the ski trip along the Illuminated Ski Trail in Myr, Vågstranda.
