Svorka and Bjorvollen

The heritage buildings in Svorka are the highlight of this hiking trail to Bjorvollen in the Bøverdalen Valley. The humorous Svorka stories that are still passed on by word of mouth among the locals in Surnadal also originated here. The trail covers easy terrain with not much elevation gain, so it is suitable for hiking, cycling, and walking with strollers.

Follow the marked forest road from the car park past the buildings in Svorka and further to Bjorvollen. You can take a rest by the shed on the right side of the road before going back.

Drive through Bøverdalen until you pass the Holten timber factory on the right side of the road and drive through a farm. Turn right after passing one more house on your right-hand side. Park your car by the outhouse on the other side of the meadow.
