Follow the walkway from the café as it crosses the river by the building and runs further up to the viewing point. Just before the walkway climbs down the stairs in the direction of the viewing point, turn off the walkway and take the marked path up to the right. A short steep section that is equipped with a chain takes you up to a plateau. From there, follow the service road that leads you to the river running from Stigbotn. A steep ascent to the right of the river takes you up to Stigbotn. From here, the path is clearly marked with cairns. Follow the right edge of the bowl-shaped cirque, Stigbotn, at first and cross over the scree area to its left edge. From here, the trail gradually climbs up to the ridge which you need to follow until you reach another area of rough scree with a steep ascent. Follow the cairns up through the scree until the terrain flattens out a little. Follow a depression in the scree area until you see the back of Trolltindene. Walk along the valley (often a small glacier) further up to a place marked as Frokostplassen (Eng. Breakfast Point). Frokostplassen lies at the very edge of the mountain on the left. It is the lowest point before the terrain ascends again towards Trolltindene. After passing Frokostplassen, follow the ridge up to the scree area at the back of Trolltindene. The way across the scree is marked and primarily follows the upper section of the scree area just beneath the rock itself. Walk up to the foot of Stabben and across another scree area with very large stones. Walk over to the foot of Trollspiret. From here, follow the prepared path (Troll Highway) that will take you to Bruraskaret. The path is somewhat less clear after Bruraskaret, but you need to follow it for a while before you reach a groove that leads up to the ridge before Store Trolltind itself. The path is marked with cairns and some red paint. A cabin at the top of Store Trolltind has recently been restored. Source:
