The destination of this hike is a summer mountain pasture owned by the Oppistua farm in Solem. Solemssetra, which lies on a hill with a fantastic view over the fjord and the islands, is one of the most well-preserved mountain farms in the village. The trail follows a forest road almost the entire time. Solemssetra is a perfect hiking destination for families with children or for a quick fitness walk in the evening.
Take the road to Flessa at the junction in Bele, Bøverfjorden. Drive for about 4 km until you reach Solem and take the right turn up the farm road to Oppistua. Park your car by the end of the white farmhouse and walk up the road towards another house that lies further up the hill. Turn off the road and continue up the meadow behind the garage. Walk through the gate at the top edge of the meadow and continue upwards. You will then see a forest road on your left. Follow this road until you reach a large area for stacking timber. Keep slightly to the left and follow the forest road that continues on the other side of this open area. Keep to the left when the road forks further up the hill and continue along the oldest of the forest roads. Do not walk up to the first building you see up on the hill and instead follow the forest road that runs diagonally down and then up to Oppistusetra. You will only see the small farm building when you almost reach the destination of this hike. The trail postbox set up by the Bæverfjord Sports Association (Bæverfjord IL) on the wall of the farm building means that you are at the right place.
