You can get to the island of Lepsøya by express boat from Ålesund / Hamnsund or by ferry from Sjeltene.The distance from the ferry terminal to Setsdemma is about 2 km. Take the right turn after the ferry terminal. After about 1.3 km you will see a beautiful beach called Kjerstadsanden and the old vicarage “Prestegarden” on the right side of the road. If you would like to visit the Eventyrskogen forest, you can park your car near Prestegarden and follow the path which is waymarked from Prestegarden up to the Eventyrskogen forest. To get to Setsdemma: The way further goes up from Prestegarden, and you will reach Setsdemma after about 300 metres. There is a “gapahuk” shelter near the car park by Setsdemma which is open for all visitors to the area. Here you will find a rowing boat, a canoe, a sandbox, and a playground for children. If you take your fishing gear with you, feel free to try your luck at fishing. The 600-meter trail around Setsdemma is evenly shaped. Half way down this trail, you will find the Stikk Ut postbox. There is also a grill cabin here which all hikers are welcome to use.

The trail is evenly shaped. It is a looped trail that follows a well prepared road. Route finding here is fairly easy, since you should just follow the path around Setsdemma.

Access and parking
To get to Setsdemma, take a ferry from Skjeltene to Lepsøy. If you want to explore the island on foot, you can leave your car at the ferry terminal in Skjeltene. In that case you need to walk for about 2 km from the ferry terminal on the island of Lepsøy to get to the starting point of the trail.
If you would like to take your car with you, you can park it at Prestegarden. No parking fee applies. You can also leave your car at the ferry terminal in Skjeltene. Parking is also free of charge there.
