Around Seterfjellet
Surnadal
On this ski trip, you will be surrounded by soaring mountains, but there is no steep climbing involved. Both Eiterdalen and Eiterdalsskaret offer a fantastic winter landscape. The trail is a good fit for those who enjoy skiing without challenging downhill slopes. If you also want to reach a mountaintop, take a walk to the top of Mount Seterfjellet (1085 m a.s.l.) from the mountain gap Eiterdalskardet, which will take you about 20 minutes.
From Pebua, move along the road into the valley until you reach the bridge over the Vindøla River near Storøya. From the bridge, move southwest by gradually ascending towards Eiterdalesetra. As you ski into the Eiterdalen Valley, follow the river before turning north up Eiterdalsskaret. From Eiterdalsskaret, you will move down a gentle slope. When you reach the northern side of Seterfjellet, follow the valley all the way down to the bridge over the Vindøla River and return to the car park.
Drive along RV65 between Surnadal and Rindal municipalities. Take the exit road that is signposted to Vindøldalen just off Røv. Follow the toll road, which is cleared from snow in winter, for about 11 km until you reach the car park by Pebua.
