Roppehornet

The trail to Mount Roppehornet will reward you with a fantastic view of the fjord and the ocean.

Start walking along the county road in Gåsneset, Ulstein Municipality. Follow a steep path up the northern side of Ulsteinhetta. The path has some rocky and steep sections. About half way through the trail, you will come to the Ulldalen Valley. This is where the path flattens out, and the area becomes slightly marshy. You will need to walk past a small river. From there, follow a solid path up towards Trollet. You will get an open view down towards the Flø coastline. The final section of the trail is also steep and open. The view from both the path and the top of Roppehornet is fantastic. The hike from Gåsneset to Roppehornet takes about an hour.

The trail starts from Gåsneset in Ulstein Municipality. There is plenty of parking space along the county road at the beginning of the path.
