This is an easily accessible mountain hike with a great view on the island of Dimnøya.
The path goes through some rocky surface. The mountain top is visible in the landscape showing you the right direction.
You will walk through open terrain with no forest along the entire trail. You can enjoy good visibility the entire time which is especially useful if you bring children on the hike. The trail has a gradual ascent. Once you come up the hillside, continue walking through gentle terrain over several small hilltops.
Once you reach the top, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Herøy and an incredible sunset.
Røyrafjellet is also a popular paragliding spot.
Drive to Dimnøya Island and turn off onto County Road 26 (FV26) in the direction of Ertesvåg. Turn left at the sign for Røyra/Røren just as you drive past a group of farms in Ertesvåg.
Follow the narrow and winding road from here and park your car on the left side of the road just after a sharp turn.
