The trail to the Nessetelva river is an easy hike along flat terrain. There is a new parking area with a trail down to the campsite. Suitable for families with small children or as an afternoon walk with a friend or partner. Wandering by the river and along the path to the Nessetelva is pure relaxation. The nature and river are as beautiful as can be.
Route description
From the parking area, the trail leads down along the Nessetelva River and to the campsite and Snipsøyrvatnet Lake. This is a child-friendly place where kids can play. There are several campfire pits and a great place to swim. So stuff your rucksacks full of food, badminton racks, balls, whittling knives, etc., and bring the family along for a day of fun in scenic surroundings. This is also a great place to spend the night in a tent, hammock or lavvo.
Access and parking
From central Hareid, follow Hareidsvegen about 4 km (towards Ulsteinvik). When you reach Bigset, turn left where you will see signs for Kvammen and Snipsøyrdalen. Drive about 3 km further inland. There is a new parking area on the left side of the road. From here, the trail continues along the Nessetelva River to Snipsøyrdalsvatnet Lake.
