Illuminated Ski Trail in Myr, Vågstranda

Vestnes

The trail at a glance

This is a nice and short ski trip that everyone can enjoy. The illuminated ski trail is 1.2 km long and usually suitable for both skate and classic skiing.

Route description

Park your car by the multi-purpose facility in Myr near Talberg, Vågstranda. The illuminated ski trail begins near the multi-purpose facility and runs in a loop at the foot of Storhaugen. The trail runs in a counterclockwise direction and splits in two right after you pass the shooting club house. Follow the ski trail that goes further left, not the one straight ahead of you which is sometimes groomed. The trail postbox where you can register your name is placed halfway through the ski trail at the top of a small hill. At this point, you can either turn around and go back to the starting point or do the entire loop trail. Note that if you go for a loop, the remaining part of the illuminated trail is a slope, which can be challenging for children. When conditions allow, skiing races are organised here on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. There is an open café at the multi-purpose facility in Myr during the race. The illumination of the ski trail automatically switches off around 10:00 p.m.
