This trail takes you through an old cultural landscape along the road and path that were previously used for driving cattle into the mountains and the summer farm. The Hagbøsetra summer mountain farm is located facing south and offers an exceptional view of Eresfjord with the mountains Gøksøyra and Sjøvdøla.
Start walking from National Road 660 in Boggestranda. Follow the sign to Hagbøsetra and Hagbøbotn. Follow the old road up for a little while. It is wide and easy to walk on. Then turn off from the old road and walk up to the left. Continue walking further along the road and path with sections of stone surface. The road and the path are marked with red signs. The trail ascends gradually and nicely. You will have to walk through some marshland at times. But the path is primarily nice and dry.The Stikk Ut postbox is attached to the wall of a farmhouse.
As mentioned in this trail description, you can take an alternative way back down by walking via Skaret and the Haukartrappa stone stairs. In that case you will come down to the Hagbøen farm in Bugge.
Drive along National Road 660 between Eidsvåg and Eresfjord. Right after you have passed the last farm in Bugge called Hagbøen, follow the road until the first mountain passage. You will see a gate and a sign to Hagbøsetra there.
If there are enough parking spaces, you can park your car down from the main road, along the small turnoff. If not, you will find more parking space closer to Bugge.
