This is an easy hiking trail in beautiful natural settings that takes you through rich cultural and historical landscape along the ocean. The trail is a great fit for families with children and is also suitable for people with strollers and wheelchair users. The round trip along the gravel road takes about half an hour and goes between grazing fields and hay meadows.
Route description
The starting point of the trail is at the end of County Road 25 in Ytre Flø, Ulstein Municipality. Follow the gravel road northeast through flat terrain in the direction of Gotene. The gravel road ends after about 1.5 km. This is where you will come across a gate with the characteristic Hokksteinen on your right-hand side.
Access and parking
The trail starts in Ytre Flø in the village of Flø, Ulstein Municipality. Drive along County Road 25 (FV25) from Ulsteinvik in the direction of Flø for about 10 km until the road ends.
There are 5–6 parking spaces at the start of the gravel road where County Road 25 ends. There are no specially marked parking bays for people with limited mobility, but the trail itself is suitable for wheelchair users.

There is a regular bus connection to Ytre Flø five times a day on weekdays. Please check the bus routes at Frammr.no There are fewer departures during school holidays.
Other
You can choose to follow the same way back or extend your hike by walking further as the terrain gradually gets rougher. If you walk 500 metres further after the gate, you can go up the Ytreflødalen Valley and take a more challenging hike to Skolma (635 m a.s.l.).
