This is a nice trail to a mountain top that is easy to reach from several starting points. You can usually walk here (no skis required) from the end of May. The view is great all the time, both towards Høgsvora, the fjord, and the sea to the west. The mountains along Hjørundfjorden are seen in the southwest. You will also have a great view over Ørskogfjellet, Skorgedalsfjella and Måslia from the top.
Start walking from the car park in Solliedsetra near the VIPP cabin. You will walk along a decent path that initially follows the same route as the one to Høgsvora. Follow this path until the terrain flattens out at the entrance to the Kvanndalen Valley and the path starts running along the river. We recommend leaving the path at this point and walking left into the valley to find another path that runs in the direction of Mount Geitanibba. Parts of the path are marked with red paint on the stones. Mount Sætrefjellet will now be on your left. When the path splits again, take the upper (left) one and aim for the lowest point on the valley side, that is, a small gap between Sætrefjellet and the ascent up towards Geitanibba. It is worth spending some time in order to find a path that goes up here. It is quite steep, but still okay to walk. Once you climb to the top, the terrain opens up and you will get a view towards Mount Snaufjellet and Mount Vestrefjellet with slightly hilly terrain in the southwest. If you turn around, you will get a great view of Mount Høgsvora. There is a small mountain lake here and a nice opportunity to take a pause. The mountain gap is called Kleggskaret. From Kleggskaret, walk right towards the top which is clearly seen in the terrain. The path is not always clear, but you can follow parts of it on your way up. The easiest way to find the path is to keep to the left in the direction of Skarbøbotnen. You will see a modest cairn at the top. Please note that the cairn is located very close to the edge facing the Kvanndalen Valley, and it is extremely steep there.
