Bløkallen from Ramsvika
Molde
The top of Mount Bløkallen is only about 500 metres high, but after just an hour-long walk you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the ocean, islands, fjord and mountains. You will enjoy the view of the entire group of islands Otrøya which stretches towards the mainland, the islands of Gossen and Harøya, islets and skerries.
The path starts in the forest on the upper side (north side) of the road and is marked with a Stikk Ut trail sign. The trail has a gradual and steep ascent as it climbs up to the top, and the path is clearly visible all the way. The path goes through the forest for the first 400–500 metres. There will be some roots and stones/scree here, and the path can sometimes be quite slippery. After going through the forest, the path crosses gentle terrain with areas of marsh and heathland as it leads you to the top. The first section of the trail offers a great view south towards Midfjorden, Vatnefjorden and Vestrefjorden. As you climb up, you will get an even greater view both out to the ocean and inwards towards the fjord. Once you reach the top, you will get a 360-degree panoramic view.
From Midsund/Molde:
Turn off to the left (the inside of the island) at the junction after the Midsund Bridge and drive for 3.6 km. You will see a small turnaround on the south side of the road where there is room for 3–4 cars. The path starts in the forest on the upper side of the road.
From Sunnmøre/Dryna/Brattvåg:
Take the turn to the right at the junction in the southern part of Midøy Island and drive for 2 km to Ramsvika where you can park your car on the south side of the road.
