Turn off to the left from National Road 671 just before Nordvikstranda. Follow the forest road for 1.2 km until you reach a timber stacking area. You can drive up to this point if the road is cleared from snow. Follow the tractor road all the way to its end (800 m). Turn left and follow the power line for 450 m. Turn off the power line and go left for about 200 m. Follow the mountain ridge for about 1250 m until you reach the peak at the height of 619 m a.s.l.
If you are coming from the south, take the Kvanne–Røkkum ferry and follow National Road 670 for about 4 km before taking FV671 towards Todalen. Follow FV671 for about 3 km until you reach the beginning of a forest road just before Nordvikstranda. You will see a black wrought iron gate at the beginning of that road. You can drive through the gate and follow the forest road for 1 km until you reach a large timber stacking area with parking space. Remember that the gate MUST be closed in summer when cows are grazing on the fields. If you are coming from the north, drive past Surnadal and follow National Road 670 towards Kvanne.
About 8 km from Surnadal, take FV671 towards Todalen.
There is space for a couple of cars next to the forest road, so if it is not cleared from snow, you can park your car there. Alternatively, there is a car park about 300 metres further north in the direction of Nordvikstranda.
Summer and winter routes are different. The summer route runs through some coniferous plantations and marshes so there is little snow there in winter. This is why you need to follow the forest road until the end and then ski along the power line. Here, skiing conditions are usually very good.
